I’m Still Not Sure

So my ex-bf called me last night to complain about his current girlfriend like I was going to help him figure out a way to get back in her good graces after he forgot her birthday, puhlease! I rather tweeze my underarm hair. Guess I will go get the tweezers since I gave him advice and bought him a chai tea, I’m such a smoodge, I don’t even know what that means. I’m still not sure why I eve like him and his stupid “we’re not right for each other” speech, he’s stupid.

Any-who, I was over at Johnny Foxes on 83 and 2 having a good ol’ time with some girlfriends from college. Good times! We talked about life in the city all night and it reminded me of Sex and the City, and this time I didn’t get so wasted my dizzyness was dizzy, i just got a nice buzz and called it a night. Then as I was walking through T-Square they were handing out free energy drinks and now I am woke now.

Blah! Work is going to be interesting…

Party at the Bar please!

Whoa!

So last night had me feeling like fruit at Jamba Juice, all mixed up! First, I went out to one of the many comedy clubs with a friend it was great we laughed so hard, I actually haven’t laughed that hard since CD (Charles our creative director) came to work in women’s pants.

After the comedy club we went to the Kareoke bar on Delancy on the lower east side and if you sang you got half off your drinks, so I was singing the night away. I sang ‘What A Girl Wants’, ‘Gone’, ‘Spiderwebs’, ‘Ironic’, ‘Head over Feet’, and ‘Don’t Cha’ annnnnnd ‘Poison’ it was a good night. My friend and I met some guy who ended up knowing the owner and it was pretty uch over from then on. We had drink after drink after drink and so on. Pretty funny because when my friend asked me to hang out with her I told her I wanted to be home early (like 1-ish) nope! Didn’t get home until like around 4:20 this morning.

I went into work sans makeup, hair pulled back, obligatory shades, and a giant coffee. It was hell to get through, plus we had this huge campaign deal about shoes for some basketball player and I said I didn’t understand why shoes were even needed to play basketball, they don’t make you better at the game, they just make you look better while you’re playing. Anywho, the shoes were awesome and I wanted a pair, but since I wasn’t technically working on the campaign I couldn’t get a free pair so I spent all day trying to talk Larry into giving me a pair, I even went as far as to swipe Emma’s when she wasn’t looking, let’s be honest she’s not going to wear them.

Anywho, her shoes were too small and not only did I come home with the hangover I left with I also came home with no shoes, well my shoes I wore to work were on, but I didn’t get any of those basketball player shoes and even though they’re super cheap I wanted a free pair.

ugh! Also, I am never drinkin whisky shots again! Ouch! Poo!

NY is too Much… FUN!

Came into work early today after a wonderful weekend to get a few things done so I could take a long lunch and take the water taxi to Ikea (http://www.nywatertaxi.com/commuters/ikea/) I have done it once before and it is a superbly awesome way to travel to a superbly awesome furniture store. The cost is only $5, but you get it back if you purchase more than $10 at the store, which I am pretty certain you will and you will certainly get your money’s worth there.

In a few moments Penelope and I are going to head over there for some lunch and indulge ourselves in some delctible and cheap swedish dihes.

I so totally do!

Okay so yesterday I went to an old friend’s wedding and OMG it beautiful! It was so totally storybook! It was an outdoor wedding with chirping birdies, sexy groomsmen, and an even sexier me.

Okay I have to tell you what I wore! I had a strapless lilac Vera Wang that was mid thigh and silver seams, to go with 3in matching Manolos. I had a small silver clutch purse and silver hoop earrings and small locket she’d gotten me for a bday present (we were total BFF’s back then) and my hair was flat ironed so I was lookin’ good!

The reception afterwards was wild, the theme was Cowboy Up! and I tell you it was out in some place I never been before and we had such a good time, beer was on the house, the dance floor was huge, and my date was splendor. *Sigh* I hope to someday have a storybook wedding.

Then today I had the day off so I took that  literal as possible and did nothing all day. I have been sleeping, tanning, eating veggies, and watching Sex and the City (mostly because the wedding made me feel all nostalgic for that show) and just enjoying not havnig to hear Larry’s oh-so-wonderful voice.

3’s

Today was about threes. First, it was impossible for me to get out of bed this morning after last nights champagne and te-kill-ya guzzlefest so I ended up hitting my snooze button three times thus making me late for work the third time this week. When I got in my car I had a parking ticket, my third one this month, then when I tried to start it up the engine wouldn’t turn over, but it did on the the third try after I did that movie moment where I rubbed my car and called her baby and promised I’d buy her some premium gas and that worked. Then as soon as I stepped in the office, before a cup of joe- Larry was up my ass with his ‘I’m-so-into-myself-and-could careless-about-how-you-are-now’ voice, ugh! Sometimes I can’t stand that man, but damn I admire his success and ambition.

CD and Penelope were being weird today, I wonder if there’s something going on there. Anyway, I digress, we ended up landing some chair account after the third attempt at convincing them we were the smart firm choice and stuff then, oh man, then Emma lost her temper about something on the phone and I swear her face was red as a strawberry! Then she started speaking japanese all fast and frustrated like and she was so angry, but she was still so proper about it. It was HI-larious!!! LOLOLMAO!

I am so glad today is Friday because I need to relax, relate, and release and I plan on doing that the entire weekend, just totally veg and watch sappy movies, oh yeah, I got an audition next week after my third attempt at trying to get into this place. So yeah, three’s today!

Ugh! Today was a total drag, the weather was great, but seriously why do these kinds of things happen to me? More about that later.

As I was walking down 5th ave, i saw a bunch of ads for Fashion Week! Ahh, excited now, I can feel it in my bones. This is one of my favorite times to be in NYC. It’s all glam all the time and the women are absolutely beautiful-ness!

There are three reasons why I love NY so much:

1: Fashion Week NY

2: The men

3: Everything else (minus the smell of the garbage that manages to stick to my hair!)

Anyway, so I had an audition yesterday and I swear I nailed the emotion this character was emoting and the director says he wasn’t feeling my pain. Ugh! I mean it wasn’t for him to feel it was for me, or the character or whoever, so next time I am totally going to just cut my own arm and see how the director feels when he sees blood coming from my arm. Okay, maybe not, but damn I really wanted that role, but i didn’t get the part, oh well, there’s always next time.
